Meet Molly Blacketer, Interventionist
Molly has a passion for meeting children at their developmental level and encouraging them so they feel capable of achieving their goals.
She has taught in public and private settings, both as a classroom teacher and interventionist. It was when working in public schools that Molly developed a strong desire to individualize instruction and make accommodations for every learner. She obtained her master’s degree in reading from Indiana University Southeast and was trained in Orton-Gillingham. Molly helped a school to establish an intervention and enrichment program where she utilized her Orton-Gillingham training. There, she worked to reach every student who would benefit from extra support. While recently working at a Reggio Emilia school, Molly fell in love with project-based learning. She will use these techniques to provide specific interventions to each child, while also making learning fun and meaningful by incorporating student interests.
Molly lives in Louisville with her husband, three children and dog. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, traveling to familiar places like Hilton Head, exploring new places, playing tennis, and relaxing with a good book!
