Meet Allison Weidman, Interventionist

Allison joined Waypoint after witnessing the importance of individualized intervention to support students and their families when faced with learning differences.

Allison has worked for years in both public and private education as a classroom teacher and social emotional learning facilitator. She has had experience and training implementing reading and writing intervention programs specializing in scaffolding, shaping, connecting and motivating students while practicing skills. Allison believes that all students are unique and need a teacher that can cater to their individual needs in a safe and stimulating environment. She aims to create a warm and safe environment for learning that empowers students to take risks and reach their full potential.

Allison lives in Louisville, and is married with two boys. Her family enjoys hiking, biking and playing with their 2 year old goldendoodle, Scout. As a former classroom teacher, Allison recognizes the importance of one-on-one instruction in an environment that empowers children to confidently find the fun in reaching their full potential.
