Meet Megan Sherehiy, Speech-Language Pathologist
Megan joined Waypoint after witnessing the impact of joyful learning that prioritizes the unique path of each child and their family.
Megan is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who believes that communication is a human right. She is honored to help children develop the skills needed to communicate confidently. Megan believes a compassionate, trusting relationship with the children and families with whom she works is foundational to progress.
Megan uses evidence-based practices from her field to help children improve skills related to articulation, phonology, language comprehension, language expression, and other areas. She takes a strengths-based approach in which she appreciates and integrates a student’s individual interpretations, passions and skills into therapy sessions. Through this approach, Megan aims to facilitate meaningful engagement with the hard work that is speech and language therapy.
Megan lives in Louisville with her husband, daughter, dog and two cats. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to all kinds of music, and being outside. As a new mom who sometimes worries what the future might look like for her daughter, Megan regularly finds hope and inspiration in the creativity and resiliency of children.
