Jacquelyn joined Waypoint after working with thousands of students with diverse learning styles, gifts, and challenges.
Jacquelyn has worked in education for over a decade as a teacher, coach, and social emotional learning facilitator. Over the last fourteen years, she has worked with thousands of students with diverse learning styles, gifts, and challenges. Jacquelyn has experience implementing intervention practices specializing in scaffolding, motivating, and encouraging students to reach their full potential. She believes that one-on-one coaching driven by the child’s interests and strengths will lead to a confident, thriving student. Jacquelyn desires to create a genuine connection with your child to further increase engagement and joy in the learning process.
Jacquelyn lives in Louisville, and is a wife and mom of four (ages eight, five, three, and six months). Her family enjoys spending time with close friends and extended family, swimming, and exploring playgrounds and parks! Jacquelyn was inspired to join the team after seeing the transformative impact of Waypoint's work with her own child. As a parent of a student with learning differences, Jacquelyn truly understands the gift (and importance!) of a child-driven intervention model. What a blessing it has been for her to watch him grow and flourish as a reader! She is motivated to offer the same powerful experiences to her own students, emphasizing joy in the journey!
