All paths to learning look a little bit different.
Waypoint is just a step in the journey. We work with students to find the joy in learning by taking a team approach to intervention. We offer one-on-one support and holistic educational coordination in math, literacy, speech and language, executive function, and occupational therapy so your child can celebrate their unique path.
Personalized support, embedded in your child’s school day.
Academic
One-on-one support
Intervention for students with dyslexia. Writing support for students who have difficulty with written expression and the motor function of handwriting, spelling, and organizing words on a page. Intervention for students struggling with number concepts, calculation, math reasoning and problem solving.
Executive Function
One-on-one support & consulting
Through coaching, students can practice organization, time management and study skills to improve memory, flexible thinking and self-control. Students are given the strategies they need to create productive habits and routines.
Speech and Language
One-on-one support
Evaluate and create tailored treatment plans for students with speech, social communication, articulation, voice quality, language and fluency disorders.
Occupational Therapy
One-on-one support
Through a strengths-based perspective, students develop an understanding of timing, coordination, and body awareness. Students are met with compassion and strategies to improve fine and gross motor skills, visual integration skills, sensory processing and integration, postural strengthening, executive functioning, and praxis abilities.
Learning should be joyful.
As educators, we’ve seen firsthand the difference in a child’s confidence when they have the right team and the right tools beside them.
By building confidence and tapping into the specific needs, abilities and interests of each child, we unlock their potential.
At Waypoint, we use nationally recognized and evidence based strategies in a stress-free environment. After intentional and targeted instruction and support, students are able to return seamlessly to their regular school program equipped with the tools needed to be successful. The model practiced at Waypoint Education is intervention and student support, reimagined.
