Meet Jennifer Jollie, Reading Interventionist
Jennifer joined Waypoint because she feels passionately about the importance of tailoring instruction to meet the individual needs of all students.
Jennifer discovered her love of teaching early on while spending time with young children. She worked for 10 years in public education as an elementary classroom teacher. Jennifer believes in helping children find joy in learning and providing a caring and nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.
Jennifer earned two Master's degrees from Spalding University in Elementary Education and Teacher Leadership. She spent several years continuing her education and experiences in literacy to provide tailored instruction, differentiation, and intervention for students in the classroom. To meet the needs of all learners, she also received a Gifted and Talented Endorsement from WKU to provide enrichment opportunities for children. Additionally, she participated in the Kentucky Reading Project and the Bellarmine Literacy Project, in which she participated in teacher development of research-based, culturally relevant literacy instruction.
Jennifer lives in Louisville and is married with a one-year-old daughter, Millie. Her family enjoys going for walks, spending time outdoors, visiting local libraries, and cuddling up with their orange cat, Rusty.
